The Francophonie’s economic mission provides a real opportunity to see what already exists and what can be replicated in other countries. In our sector, Canada has a level of maturity and expertise that interests the presidents of chambers of commerce in other participating countries, who are seeking advice on how to grow their economies. This helps encourage local development and fosters wealth, employment, and food security.

By participating in the Francophonie’s economic mission to Romania, I was able to make some pivotal connections that marked a key milestone in the growth of my business in Europe, culminating in the signing of two ongoing partnerships with companies in Central Europe.

The Francophonie’s economic mission to Asia enabled us to meet with a professional Cambodian biomass fuel company that agreed to a joint venture contract to set up a pilot biomass briquette plant in Ankarafantsika. The outcome of our participation in the mission far exceeded our expectations: a partner for a joint venture agreement, other technical partners (packaging and service providers), buyers for our products, and a legal advisor to assist with drafting the joint venture agreement.
